Contestant Information

There will be awards for each type of Chili Contestant plus a People’s Choice award.

Each participant will be allocated space within a large coking area.

There are three classes of Chili Contestants:

Restaurant
Non-profit
Individual or family

Contestant application Deadline is June 1, 2010.

Chili Contestant Requirements

No entry fee. You are only responsible for your ingredients.

The form to the right is your application. Please fill it out completely. Your application will be confirmed quickly.

Commercial entities must obtain necessary permits from Nevada County Department of Health. Information may be found here.

All chili must be cooked on-site between 8 AM and 11 AM. Cooking may begin as early as 7 AM.

Ten gallons minimum per entry. There is no maximum. But the more you make, the better your chance of winning the People's Choice Award.

Bowls, spoons and napkins will be provided.

Themed teams and booths are encouraged.

There is no electrical power available.
